The Apple Barn is open every day from noon until 6 p.m. Apple supply and selection is still somewhat limited but the following varieties may be available while supplies last:

The harvest continues to ramp up slowly as Lodi and Melba apples ripen. A small amount of Redfree and Duchess are ready this week, but quantities are scarce for those varieties.

While our Apple Barn in Rochester is closed until Labor Day when more varieties will be available, you can find us at these markets this week:

Lodi apples are still tasting great this week! The Melba apples on our trees were not quite ready for a major picking yet, but they will definitely be ready within the next week.

This week we picked the second round of Lodi apples! Next week could bring the first Melbas if conditions are good.

The 2026 apple harvest begins with a very small first picking of Lodi apples!

While the Apple Barn in Rochester is closed until Labor Day when more varieties will be available, we will start attending a number of farmers markets in the coming weeks as the apple supply allows. Check back here and our Markets page for updates.

For this weekend (Saturday, July 25th), we hope to bring just a few boxes of Lodis to the Dane County Farmers Market in Madison. Next week we will hope a larger amount of apples will be ready for harvest and that we can start a number of other markets. 

Closed for Regular Hours Until Fall 2026

A smaller-than-usual crop this year means that sales at the Apple Barn in Rochester have concluded as of Wednesday, November 25. We are so grateful for everyone's support this season, and we will hope to see you next year!

As a result of a smaller than usual crop this year, the selection of apples available at this time is greatly reduced from a normal year, but we have plenty of fresh-pressed cider and Ida Red apples for your Thanksgiving needs!

  • PLUS, two new varieties to try from a neighboring orchard to help provide more selection as our apples run out
    • Sweet Zinger
